The Creche – Palanaghar

These days the Creche is run along with the Balwadi. Many times the older child had to stay at home to look after the younger siblings and hence could not attend the Balwadi. To help them not miss schooling, creches were started for the younger siblings.

The creche or Palanaghar (पाळणाघर) along with the Balwadi solved this problem of attendance.

Children from the age of 6 months to 2 and half years are admitted to the Palnaghar.

Care is duly taken of the tiny tots and their special needs are looked after. Each Balwadi/Palnaghar has one trained teacher and one or two helpers depending on the number of children attending.

Little bit of History

The first creche was started in December 1961.

In 1975,with the help of the Social Welfare Department 2 Creches were started at Bordi.
